Build a Dream Windsor 2017

Founded in 2014, Build a Dream is designed to attract, encourage and recruit female students to pursue careers in skilled trades, STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) and law enforcement. Yesterday, Build a Dream held it’s 5th annual event at the Ciociaro Club in Windsor, Ontario inviting all young women and parents of young women to the day long event to learn about various career options, hear from established speakers and meet and greet various businesses in the Windsor-Essex area.

Reko International Group was proud to be a sponsor of the event as well as an exhibitor. We were also represented at the event by our Corporate HR Manager, Lauren Brummel who was a panelist at the employer symposium along with Parliamentary Secretary Terry Duguid, Beth Cummings from Union Gas, Yvonne Ouimet from Windsor Police and David Cassidy from Unifor.

The event attracted over 600 young women and their parents and was a huge success! Congratulations to Nour Hachem-Fawaz, Ann Hetherington and the entire Build a Dream organizing committee on another fantastic event!
